Legendary rap group RUN DMC are reportedly planning to bring their story to Broadway as an original musical.

According to Variety, Rev Run and DMC will be meeting up with film producer Paula Wagner this week to observe other musical offerings on Broadway.

Wagner has produced various Tom Cruise flicks including Vanilla Sky, The Last Samurai and the Mission: Impossible series.

Wagner's Chestnut Ridge Productions will be overseeing the RUN DMC musical which will tell the inspirational story of the rap group's rise and dramatic journey.

"I feel their story lends itself perfectly to the stage," said Wagner. " This project has been a passion of mine for some time and I couldn't be more thrilled to be working with them.
