William Balfour, the man accused of killing three of Jennifer Hudson’s relatives, was formally indicted for the slayings in a Chicago court today (December 30).

As reported earlier, Hudson's mother and brother were found shot to death in a Chicago home in October and her 7-year-old nephew was found dead in a parked SUV several days later.

Balfour, Hudson's brother in law, has been in police custody since the murders and was pinned as the main suspect in the slayings.

According to The United Press, Baflour was indicted Tuesday on charges of murder and home invasion.

Balfour has claimed that he did not commit the murders. He is currently being held without bond.
